This was the sentiment expressed by billionaire businessman Rob Hersov. He recently attracted public attention when he slammed the ANC government, describing it as full of incompetents and criminal elements, describing President Cyril Ramaphosa as spineless and useless. He says they are responsible for presiding over a declining economy. I caught up with the businessman. We discussed a myriad of issues, like the energy crisis and possible resolutions to it, black economic empowerment, and what South Africa needs to do to position its economy for the future. We started with the energy issue.
Winning Votes in 2024
A good way to win over voters is to speak to the citizens in their own language. Most people is South Africa don’t speak English. They speak Zulu (23 percent), followed by Xhosa (16 percent), and Afrikaans (14 percent) and then English. That is an important reason why the majority of South Africans citizens support the ANC. The ANC speaks there language.
Unless the opposition parties learn Zulu or Xhosa they will remain the minority opposition party. The Democratic Alliance should make that a priority. Those in leadership positions learn Zulu or Xhosa. The majority of our citizens may not vote for the DA no matter how beautifully we speak to them in the queens English and we cannot speak to them in their own language.
The crisis in Durban Kwazulu-Natal brought about by the floods requires skilled managment. Emergency measures are required. Put the DA in charge of the province of KZN.

STOP placing your friends, colleagues, cadre and those who are begging you for jobs into municipal and government leadership positions that they are unable to properly fulfil. Our province will never ever attract investment if prospective investors are not confident in the leadership.
STOP LOOKING AFTER GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES. AND START LOOKNG AFTER THE CITIZENS. Do you not understand this request ?
