Do we want a prosperous South Africa? Let's ensure leadership that values diversity and inclusivity.

South Africa does itself a disservice by not using more white people in local government leadership / managerial positions.

Leadership is what white people do well because they think ahead and carefully plan what needs to be done beforehand.  They can deal with pressure, take no nonsense and make sure the job gets done.  Put more white people in charge and get the job done good. South Africa will benefit.

Quote Google search:-  I recently turned 74 and I really feel like 50 and I realized long ago that there is power, happiness and peace of mind in solitude! I am alone  but very seldom lonely.

Andre de Ruyter resigned because Minister Gwede Mantashe says he is guilty of treason. That is not true. What has happened to de Ruyter was an coordinated effort by the racist ANC government to remove a white man doing a good job managing Eskom and dealing with corruption.

Chris Yelland :- Without a single word of support from the president, the finance minister, the DPE minister and the Eskom board chairman after the attack by Minister Mantashe accusing De Ruyter of treason,  I would expect nothing different except that De Ruyter should resign in disgust

John:- Minister Gwede Mantashe says Andre de Ruyter is guilty of treason. Saying that will make his job with his staff 10 times more difficult.

Minister Gwede, You are an emotional and irrational person unfit for the job.  Mr President, FIRE Mantashe. Throw him out.

Mr President Cyril Ramaphosa. Here is your action plan..

No 1. Call CEO André de Ruyter and ask him to reconsider.

No 2. Fire Minister Samson Gwede Mantashe and tell him to apologize to de Ruyter.

No 3. meet with de Ruyter and assure him you will support him in the difficult job of managing Escomb. Something you have not done in the past,

No 4. The same goes for public enterprises minister Pravin Gordhan. Apologize to de Ruyter . Tell him that from now on you will give him unconditional support.

Andre de Ruyter has the most difficult and important job.

Mr President, do the right thing for South Africa. Look after the people. Dont pita pater around ministers who cannot do the job.

Put more white leadership / management into local government and see Durban grow and become a magnificent prosperous city that will attract business and visitors from far and wide. If investors see a white man in charge they are far more likely to invest in South Africa.

Winning Votes in 2024

A good way to win over voters is to speak to the citizens in their own language.  Most people is South Africa don’t speak English. They speak Zulu (23 percent), followed by Xhosa (16 percent), and Afrikaans (14 percent) and then English. That is an important reason why the majority of South Africans citizens support the ANC. The ANC speaks there language.

Unless the opposition parties learn to speak Zulu or Xhosa they will remain the minority opposition parties.  The Democratic Alliance should make that a priority. Those in leadership positions learn Zulu or Xhosa. The majority of our citizens will not vote for the DA no matter how beautifully we speak to them in the Queens English, and we cannot speak to them in their own language.   Learn to speak, read & write Zulu. The black people speak English. But the white people don't speak Zulu.

Andre Beetge is good news for Durban

The South Coast Sun:-   Vusi Mthalane

Of the 10 Exco members, Beetge is the only one who is an active ward councilor. He said he was aware of the added responsibility but promised to execute ward councilor duties to the best of his ability.

The City’s Executive Committee comprises ten councilors on proportional political party representation, including the mayor and deputy mayor. It guides the City Council as it makes decisions on municipal functions and programes, as well as the management of administration.

“The system is so broken, and people don’t always realise it. Our councillors are out on a limb, and communities are expecting from them things that completely fall outside their sphere of responsibility. It is impossible to meet everyone’s expectations, but this appointment gives us an opportunity to have direct communication with the mayor and the municipal manager to address issues that need addressing,” said Beetge.
